Brecken grew up riding in Chicago showing ponies, equitation and jumpers on the "A" hunter/jumper circuit.

Qualified and competed at Pony Finals, Devon, The Pennsylvania National and Washington National Horse shows.

Taught lessons and worked as assistant for well known trainers on the East Coast including Todd Minikus, Scott Hofstetter, Ian Silitch, Leslie Howard and Ray Texel.

In Brecken's spare time she enjoys snow skiing and playing with her dog Schnitzel
